Permanent Make-up

Permanent make-up, also referred as Micropigmentation or dermal-pigmentation, is a process whereby completely natural inorganic pigments are implanted beneath the epidermis (top layer of skin), into the dermal layer (second layer of skin), by needle micro insertion. This technique has been medically developed and specifically designed for a safe permanent application. Permanent cosmetics is a safe and natural-looking alternative to the expense and daily routine of applying make-up upon waking in the morning and often times throughout the day. It is a state-of-the-art technique of applying long lasting makeup via intradermal micropigmentation. Properly applied by an experienced stylist, micropigmentation will be more natural and realistic in appearance as compared to conventional cosmetics. The medical grade pigments used have been specially formulated for this kind of procedure.

KEEP IT CLEAN If your new makeup is not kept clean, you risk getting a bacterial infection. Prevent this at all costs, it’s not hard to do. Clean 2-3 times daily with a mild antibacterial soap, preferably unscented.

KEEP IT MOISTURIZED Follow the cleaning with a thin application of Antibiotic Ointment. Apply gently 4-5 times daily with a Q-Tip.

KEEP OUT THE SUN UV Rays fade pigments over time and pose a particular threat to fresh pigments. New permanent makeup should not be exposed to the sun. Wear a hat with a brim and sunglasses that will cover your healing permanent makeup. Once the makeup is healed, always wear a UV Protectant on your skin. When tanning.

STAY OUT OF THE BEACH/POOL Chlorine will not only burn a fresh wound, but chemicals should never be introduced to fresh pigment. Marine Salt makes the pigments fade as magic.

NEW MAKEUP AND NEW FACIALS Additional makeup and mascara may be used over the pigmented area after 3 days of application. You will have to buy new makeup and mascara, used makeup and makeup containers have old bacteria in them. You cannot put this on healing skin because you’re risking an infection and chance of unwanted scabbing.
